Sowing Seeds Campaign

We are delighted to announce the launching of the "Sowing Seeds Campaign."  From September 2016 through December 2016, we will be speaking to churches and individuals about how to join with our family and God's greater work in Ethiopia.  The campaign will include a special brochure that highlights our vision for ongoing Theological Education in Ethiopia and our financial needs in order to return.  We will distribute them widely as we visit with churches and friends in the coming months.

Thus far, we have received one-time gifts totaling $3,000 and dozens of monthly financial partners.

Home Assignment 2016

Financial Update: We are currently receiving $5,000 per month in support.  After having been to SIM USA, we need to raise an additional $1,800 per month.  The key factors in the increase are:

1. Growing family - the last time we were raising support, we had only one child.  Not only do we have more kids now (3), but they are quickly becoming school aged. Much of the needed support will cover upcoming school fees.
2. Travel Expenses - we are now purchasing airfare for four people and a "lap child."  The next time we come home to the USA in Summer 2019, we will have to buy five tickets.
3. Insurance costs - as our family has grown, our insurance costs have gone up, too.

Travel Update: We thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip to Charlotte, NC.  We had very good time at SIM USA HQ, then with family, and stopped in VA and PA on the way home to NY.
